Pastor Laura has been a lifelong Disciple and grew up in this congregation. She was very active in the children and youth ministries, and felt those ministries helped shape and guide her life.

After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with Music minor, she felt a call to ministry. She received her Master of Divinity from Phillips Theological Seminary and was ordained in May 2012.

Soon after she was ordained, Laura was called to serve the First Christian church in Huntsville, Alabama as their Associate Minister to Children & Families for over ten years and was active in the Alabama-Northwest Florida Region.

In 2023, Laura decided it was time to move back home and she became our Children & Youth Minister in March. Laura desires to minister to the children and youth at our congregation and hopes that they will be able to have their own wonderful experiences of growing up in this loving congregation.

She strives to bring creative teachings into her ministry environments that challenge individuals to have new experiences when it comes to the Holy. She desires each individual to develop a daily personal relationship with Jesus. She is also getting involved in our Great River Region, children & youth ministries.
